I've been thinking a lot about this type of stuff for a few years now. And now especially since Oct. 7. I think Baddiels whole "Jews don't count" thing is sometimes overblown but he has a point when it comes to certain progressive and leftist circles. I look forward to reading more of your thoughts in long form version. Already enjoy following you on twitter. Hope that's not weird to say.

Yea I agree. I'm not a huge Baddiel fan from what I know of him, but I have to admit he was on to more than I thought he was. In an ideal world, I'd like to see people on the left move away from this kind of identity politics in general, but if people want to hang on to this style of politics, Jews ought to be able to as well. In a way the events of the last 7 months feel like a way for the left to say "all this stuff about lived experience and victimhood is bullshit when Jews do it, but we're going to hang onto it for ourselves."
